My "Yamamutt" Project

                  by PerformanceX

objective: take an ordinary old P.O.S. Yamaha Phazer and improve it (so it becomes slightly less of a P.O.S.)

***I am now parting out this sled. Email performancex@usa.com for anything you need.

SNOW FLAP---

After I got the skid in, we got a little snow.  I took the sled out for some rips around the yard and up and down the road.  I found out that the snow flap was now way too short with the new ride height.  Short flap=snowy back!

My car just happened to crap out for good about the same time, so I pulled two of the mud flaps off and used them for a snow flap extension:

I held them together in the center with some 1/16" aluminum:

Now it's long enough so it just touches the ground when I sit on the sled (up to spec for my racing future):

SNOW VENT---

Darn near forgot!  I had painted the snow vent door in the nose cone red, too:

MORE FOOT GRIP---

The rear bracket bolts poking thru the running board provide such good grip, I decided these holes up toward the front could use some of the same grip:

So there we go.  I put some 1/2" long 1/4" bolts thru the holes.
