Good 302 w/dual-point throttle body injection 134,000 miles for sale! Also overdrive automatic transmission and rear end.

Some years back, I had an accident with my Beretta, and it was going to cost too much time and money to fix. So I bought an'83 Ford Crown Victoria for $500. Good car, with a fuel-injected 5.0L. When I finally fixed the Beretta about a year later, I parked the Crown Vic at my dad's place, and it sat for three years waiting for me to get it race-ready. I finally got around to doing just that this summer (2003).

The car fired up with little trouble. The air pump was locked up, but that was no big deal. There is one belt devoted to the air pump and a/c pump. Cutting the belt off took care of the problem.

I wish I had taken a complete "before" picture. Here it is, though, after removing all the glass, trim and lights, and welding the doors shut.:

Got the whole thing ready in 9 days for the Enduro race at Hibbing Raceway on August 5th.

Spent a lot of time painting. Definitely wanted to give the sponsors a good showing:

The finished product:

I had a little trouble. Sprung a fuel leak on the starting line:

Here I am getting pushed off after suffering from a second fuel leak:

Finally getting in some laps:

I ran 17 laps. Then I overheated. I had left the a/c condensor in, thinking it would protect the radiator from debris. It did, but it also blocked the radiator from AIR FLOW and I got hot.

I learned a lot. I have a long list of things to do to prepare for next season. I've already begun the work.
